Instructions

If you have ever been to Thailand or a good Thai restaurant you have probably seen or tasted a spicy beef/chicken salad. The fun part about this salad, is that it doesn't include any lettuce, but is mainly focused on the beef. This still is a healthy dish and also ready on the table within 20 minutes. By using our Thai Thunder spicy sauce, you will get all the explosive Thai flavors without the hassle of owning a complete Asian grocery store. If you didn't get the chance to get hold of one of these amazing bottles of Thai Thunder, you can mix all the ingredients for the optional dressing together in your blender.

This is one of the most comforting dishes in my opinion, because it has the right balance between spicy, sour, salt and sweet and still feels light. So perfect for a Summer weeknight or for fit boys and girls amongst us. Let us know what you think!

Ingredients

Step 1
Cook the beef to your desired doneness (medium-rare is recommended). Let it rest for a few minutes, then slice it thinly against the grain.

Step 2
In a large bowl, combine the sliced beef, cucumber, tomatoes, and red onion.

Step 3
In a small bowl, mix together the lime juice, fish sauce, and Thai Thunder. Adjust the seasoning to your liking.

Step 4
Pour the dressing over the salad and toss everything together until well combined.

Step 5
Add the sliced chili peppers, mint leaves, and cilantro to the salad and toss again. Garnish with the chopped peanuts. Serve the salad immediately and enjoy!

Chefs tip
“This recipe is more meant as a side dish, but can easily be upgraded to a complete meal, by adding some rice noodles to the salad. Take around 50 grams of rice noodles per person and cook them according to the package instructions. Add to the salad and make sure you also add a bit more of the Thai Thunder, fish sauce and lime juice. “.
